would it be?” “Ooo if I could give one piece of advice, to anyone, what would it be… I’ll tell people to take responsibility for their actions. If I could give one advice to anyone and that was the only advice, because there’s many things I would want to tell them. But I have to look for something that can answer all of those at the same time. Like I would want to tell people they should be more religious. I would want to tell people, they should respect their parents more. I would want to tell people, they should have a little bit more understanding. I would want to say many things. But to hit that right on the head, I would say people just need to be more responsible for their actions. And when I say actions, meaning what you say, what you do, everything. You should be responsible just like, everyone has a responsibility for what you’re doing, you understand so. If I can, if there was one thing, remember am a kind of guy that will come up with many things. But if it was one thing that I looked at, if this happened, then things can be better because of this thing. Yeah we need, everyone, whether you know, as long as you are an adult, a sensible adult. You can’t just say anything you want to say. You can’t just do anything you want to do. You can’t just wear anything you want to wear. Because you might attract someone by doing certain things, and at the end of the day, I understand you have the right, not saying you don’t have the right. But at the same time you should also have the responsibility for that right, you understand. With rights, comes responsibilities, you understand. So I’m not saying you don’t have the right to do certain things, were human. You have European law of human rights; you got laws to give you rights. But at the same time, take responsibility for those rights, don’t just abuse them. Whether like I said, and that can be, with just the things you say. Now years later, I am very much aware Finland isn't perfect but I still absolutely adore it and I will be forever thankful for the time I spent there and the people I met during that time. My host family and I still very often joke that I had to be Finnish in previous life because it is where I feel the most comfortable and like myself (I also look very Finnish and regularly while there people assume I am not a tourist). My initial plan was to get a Finland - related tattoo before I start my studies at the university but because of covid lockdown, it was only last year I was able to get it done. Suomi in finnish means Finland and above there is a reindeer (in finnish 'poro') which for me symbolises Finland. Finland was the first place I was able to see, ride and eat reindeer for the first time, which is why I decided it is a great representation of my time there.
